"How-To: "Create a Folder" for Krissy ;-)
Burnout

The easiest way to create a folder is in "Windows Explorer".

The same techniques that will be outlined here will work in several different "windows" within your computer though

1) Open windows Explorer (if you do not know how click this link)

2) Browse to the folder you want the new folder to be inside of

3) Put the mouse in an OPEN space in the right (main) window of Explorer and click once, to "Deselect" any folders. It should look similar to this

4) click the right mouse button

5) Select "New" then "folder"

6) A new folder appears, ready to be named…Done!!!

Anywhere you see this little icon clicking it will make a new folder.

This little beauty usually shows up in "open" and "close" dialog boxes roll your mouse over it for a close up

Understanding File Structure

Widows sorts files first by number, and then by letter. One of the twists of computers is getting used to the quirk of reading 10 before 90. Because the computer indexes all the first numbers (and letters) before moving onto the second digit, it makes for some bizarre files if you do not begin organizing them as you go, and plan for expansion ahead of time. Here is a pic showing a disorganised file system.
